GTA 6 pre-orders: $79.99 Standard, $99.99 Ultimate and a November 12 pre-load

Grand Theft Auto VI finally has a price. Rockstar Games and Take-Two announced on June 24, 2026 that the game costs $79.99 in its Standard Edition and $99.99 in its Ultimate Edition, with pre-orders opening at midnight local time on June 25 on the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, the Rockstar Games Store and at retailers.

The date itself had been trailed a week earlier. On June 18, Rockstar revealed the game's official cover art and said pre-orders would begin on June 25.

Prices around the world#

The US prices come straight from Take-Two's announcement. The rest are the digital prices on the Xbox Store, which we checked on September 26, 2026:

Retail prices for boxed copies can differ, and we haven't independently captured PlayStation Store regional prices.

Two editions, and only two#

There is a Standard Edition and an Ultimate Edition, and that's it. There's no special edition and no collector's edition of the game.

• Standard is the base game. You can buy it digitally or as a physical "code in box".
• Ultimate is digital only. It adds exclusive vehicles, weapons, outfits, side activities and five Ultimate-only businesses, which unlock chapter by chapter as the story moves on.
• Ultimate Edition Upgrade lets Standard owners add the Ultimate content later for $20.

Pre-order bonuses#

Two bonuses were announced:

1. Vintage Vice City Pack, for all pre-orders and purchases made before November 20, 2026. It includes a two-tone '55 Vapid Stanier, the Shore Court garage near Ocean Beach, retro outfits and hair for Jason and Lucia, and a tropical weapon pattern inspired by Tommy Vercetti's palm-tree shirt.
2. One free month of GTA+, for digital pre-orders only. It applies to today's GTA Online and the GTA+ Games Library, not to GTA VI itself.

Pre-load from November 12, and no disc#

Digital pre-orders can pre-load from November 12, 2026, a week before launch, so the game is ready when it unlocks on November 19.

The physical version works differently from a standard boxed game: the box holds a download code, not a disc. It goes on sale on November 12 as well, so boxed buyers can pre-load at the same time.

How are pre-orders going?#

Take-Two hasn't released numbers. On its August 2026 earnings call, the company described pre-order levels as "unprecedented and astonishing" and said they were well ahead of its internal forecasts, while adding that it can't know yet how they'll translate into sales. Third-party estimates of pre-order units have circulated online, but Take-Two hasn't verified any of them, so we don't report them as fact.
