GTA 6 characters: meet Jason, Lucia and the cast of Leonida
Who's who in GTA 6: Jason Duval, Lucia Caminos, Cal, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan, Real Dimez, Raul and Brian, plus characters from the Extended Look and what's known about the voice cast.
On this page
Rockstar introduced GTA VI's cast properly on May 6, 2025, when Trailer 2 launched with a rebuilt official site full of character profiles. Everything in the first section comes from those profiles, paraphrased in our own words. Later sections cover characters seen in the Extended Look and what's known about the actors.
The two leads
Jason Duval
Jason grew up surrounded by hustlers and crooks. He joined the Army to escape a rough adolescence, then drifted down to the Leonida Keys, doing the only work he knew: running errands for local drug smugglers. He'd like a simple life, but it keeps getting harder. Meeting Lucia might be the best thing that ever happened to him, or the worst.
- Lives: rent-free in one of Brian Heder's properties, in exchange for helping with local shakedowns
- Friends: Cal Hampton
Lucia Caminos
Lucia's father taught her to fight almost as soon as she could walk. Standing up for her family landed her in Leonida Penitentiary, and luck got her out. Now she has resolved to make only smart moves. She wants the comfortable life her mother dreamed of back when the family lived in Liberty City, and she's ready to act rather than wish. A future with Jason might be her way out.
The supporting cast
| Character | Who they are | Connected to |
|---|---|---|
| Cal Hampton | A conspiracy-minded homebody who'd rather stay in with beers, Coast Guard radio chatter and private browser tabs. Happy at the bottom rung, and glad of company in his paranoia | Jason's friend, works with Brian |
| Boobie Ike | A Vice City street legend who turned his past into a legitimate empire of property, a strip club and a recording studio. All smiles until it's time to talk business | Co-runs Only Raw Records with Dre'Quan |
| Dre'Quan Priest | Always more hustler than gangster, with music as the real goal. Looking beyond booking acts at Boobie's club to the wider Vice City scene | Boobie's label partner, signed Real Dimez |
| Real Dimez | Bae-Luxe and Roxy, friends since high school who turned robbing local dealers into racy rap songs and a big social following. An early hit with local rapper DWNPLY made their name | Signed to Only Raw |
| Raul Bautista | A seasoned bank robber who runs on confidence, charm and cunning, always recruiting people willing to risk big for big payouts. He appears on the cover art | Leads a crew |
| Brian Heder | An old-school drug runner from the Keys' smuggling heyday, still moving product through his boatyard with his third wife, Lori | Jason's landlord |
Other named characters
Rockstar's official material also names:
- Lori, Brian's wife.
- DWNPLY, the local rapper behind Real Dimez's early hit.
- Wyman, an eccentric collector and fixer who gives the Ultimate Edition's Classic Car Collection commission.
- Macca the Gator, star of an in-universe TV show, and Chunkee the Manatee.
- PTT Youngin$, a Southside Vice City gang in the Ultimate Edition.
Tommy Vercetti, from 2002's GTA: Vice City, is referenced in official copy (a weapon pattern based on his palm-tree shirt, and revolvers from the "Vercetti Estate"). That's a reference, not a confirmed appearance.
Seen in the Extended Look
- Valentina ("Val" or "Tina"): a fixer who hires Jason and Lucia as security. Fans link her to the Valentina from GTA Online's 2025 Money Fronts update, which would make her the first returning GTA Online character. Rockstar hasn't confirmed this.
- Andrés (or Andreas) de León: a rich young VIP client connected to the Spanish-language media company Megamundo, whose COO is named as Petra Navarro.
- Raymond and Ernesto, seen in a drug-deal scene, and a police officer called Mendez or Menendez.
- Outlets also report Raul recruiting Jason and Lucia, and appearances or mentions of Brian, Lori, Boobie and Dre'Quan.
Who voices them?
Rockstar hasn't credited any cast member. The one exception so far is Stephen Root, who told the Associated Press in September 2026 that he's in the game. He implied he plays the character fans spotted in Trailer 2, widely taken to be Brian Heder. That's reported, not confirmed by Rockstar.
The performers for Jason, Lucia and everyone else haven't been confirmed, and we don't publish fan-guessed casting.
